Nigeria Women Football new revelation and goal machine Monday Gift has again put up a spectacular performance in the ongoing NWFL Super Six tournament as she scored twice to help her team, Bayelsa Queens beat hard fighting Edo Queens 2-1.

The unstoppable striker succeeded in braking down Edo Queens’ tough backline in the 47 minutes of play as she finely finished off an Etim Edidiong assist to open Edo Queens net. The first half had ended goalless after display of beautiful skills and spectacular play from both teams.

Ten minutes later, Monday Gift showed the stuff she is made of and her God’s given talent as she dribbled past Shukurat Oladipo inside the Edo Queens area and stylishly shot past Obindinma to make it 2-0 for the Aiteo Cup reigning champions.

Edo Queens remained courageous and continued to work towards replying their strong opponents until their hard work paid off in the 72nd minute when Midfielder Esther Oyenezide confidently controlled Aberdeen’s beautiful pass and fired a sublime shot past Bayelsa Queens Goalkeeper to raise Edo Queens’ hope of getting a point

Beyelsa Queens have now won all their three games played so far in the super six tournament courtesy of Monday Gift who scored their winning goal in the first match against defending champions Rivers Angels and went on to score hattrick against Naija Ratels before her brace against Edo Queens making her the highest goalscorer and player of the tournament.
