Over 15 countries are already on ground for the Africa Track Cycling Championship billed for Moshood Abiola Stadium Velodrome from Wednesday July 14th to 17th, 2022.

 

 

According to the Secretary General of Confederation of Africa Cycling (CAC) Bashiru Mohammed over 15 countries have arrived for the tournament.

 

 

The Cycling technocrat gave the names of some of the counties that have arrived as Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, Burundi, Ghana, Guinue, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Benin, Togo, Cote de Voire, Tunisia and host country Nigeria.

 

Mohammed who is also the Cycling Federation of Nigeria Technical Director said the Velodrome of d Abuja Stadium is filled to capacity, with beehive of activities as the various countries are busy putting finishing touches to their trainings.

 

 

” Many of the countries arrived early courtesy of CAC magnimity. Most of the countries were sponsored here to make use of the Velodrome for training before the competition begins’ he stressed.

 

 

He said the officiating officials are expected to arrive Abuja on Tuesday July 12th. Adding that there will be Pre- Race meeting on Wednesday July 13th, and competition will be flagged off on Thursday July 14th 2022.

 

 

Nigeria is to be represented by 35 male and female Cyclists. the competition is end on Saturday July 17th and departure July 18th 2022.
