Nigeria Football Federation President Ibrahim Gusau, paid a condolence visit to the home of late Chief Angus Osundu Nwoye, a Nigerian business man based in Abidjan who died at the stadium during Nigeria and South Africa Semifinal match at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Bouaké.

The NFF boss who was accompanied by some members of his executives and Nigerian journalists covering the AFCON said the visit became necessary owing the circumstances around Chief Nwoye’s demise. On arriving chief Magnus, resident in Abidjan, the NFF President met with the wife of the deceased, his two sons and other family members.

In Gusau’s words: “nobody deserve to die watching a football match, chief magnus, is a true nigerian who have given succour to several Nigerians here for the nations cup” this is a great lose and we are here to sympathize with his family”.Late Chief Nwoye’s, body would be flown back to his ancestral home in Anambra state Nigeria in the coming days for his final burial.

Chief Angus Nwoye, before his surden demise on Wednesday 7th February 2024 has lived in Abidjan were he owns several businesses since 1992.
